Am I the only one who has mixed feelings about trophies? I'm in love with that heavenly sound when you earn a trophy. But on the other hand, you beat a game like GTA IV without all the trophies (some of which are pretty time-consuming) and then it says you have only completed 15%! WTF? I beat the game, I boinked all the chicks, massacred everyone, befriended all sort of criminals. Hell, I even gave a serial killer a ride and the game tells me I have completed only 15%?

Very fun. It's a good time killer. I'm not sure I would play it online though.

I strongly disagree. I'm against movies turned into games and vice versa.

I feel like I know a character called Snake; his looks, his voice, his motives and his overall character. A movie would ruin that picture for me and distorts this character for us. Each and every MGS game has hours of cutscenes and hours of codec calls explaining the game and the story. A 2 hour movie will not be able to do something like that.

This may or may not be intentional but it's still a game and in a game you do all sorts of stuff, like using the sixaxis to jiggle some boobies when you're supposed to heed the "deep" storyline in some game.

Hardware-wise, Sony has superior technology, Nintendo has better marketing, and Microsoft has more money; the way I see it, it'll be tough for Apple to gain a foothold with an "iConsole".

Hot Pursuit is developed by Criterion Games, an awesome studio with lots of talent. Burnout Paradise was very underrated. I just played it a few days ago and it still manages to impress.

Some great games there. The question here is whether the quality of the games prevents you from finishing them or there are other reasons?

I don't think they are sacrificing gameplay for graphics. They just polish them more and that's because the competition is tough and (a portion of) gamers are very demanding. Otherwise their games will flop.

God of War 3 is the definite best for me; blew me away and far exceeded my expectations. Red Read was top also but not a billion times better than GTA since it's really a wild west GTA game. I still don't get the GTA hate.

Mass Effect is a great game. What should have you dumbfounded is 30+ year old guys who are "supposedly" veteran gamers showering a Mario game with praise to no end.
